Abstract

Audio recording and transcript of Anne Royle's April 1997 presentation to the Nanaimo Historical Society about Sointula. Royle gives a brief history of the Malcolm Island community, which was originally founded by Finnish immigrants. She then goes on to talk about her experience living there during the 1950s and '60s.
