Problems faced by secondary school students while studying physics in India

The present study examines the difficulties faced by students while studying physics in India and gives some suggestions to overcome these problems. The previous literature claimed that students find physics subject hard and difficult to learn. The author of the study had a teaching experience in India and analyzed the scenario closely, it was important for the researcher of the study to explore these challenges. The study was expected to improve the quality of education. The present study used an online survey on Google Form to get participants’ viewpoints without disclosing their identity. Both quantitative and qualitative data was collected from 70 anonymous participants. The results of the study disclosed the problems that Indian students faced during secondary school year while studying physics and provided some solutions to overcome these challenges.
