Abstract
Audio recording and transcript of Martin Clue's 1979 interview with Bernard McNicholl for the Coal Tyee History Project. Clue explains how his family moved from Nova Scotia to the Prairies and then to Vancouver Island. He talks about how both he and his father worked in the Extension Mine and the different jobs they had. Clue explains how he left Vancouver Island to work in the Blakeburn Mine in the Interior, but then later returned to work in Cumberland. During the interview Clue also reflects on some of the differences between the mines on the Island and in the Interior.
