Abstract
William Blake described his unique process of illuniated printing using relief etching in terms of six chambers in a "Printing house in Hell." This colloquium recreates the process of Blake's printmaking through these six chambers and relates the material practice of Blake's printing to the aesthetic and political issues of his art.
