Abstract

This purpose of this project was to begin to fill the gaps in the basic education of teachers when it comes to the lack of awareness of assistive technology. For this project there is a focus on the basic use of iPads and the built-in accessibility features they contain. Through this project teachers will be able to explore the main use of iPads and diving deeper into the use of the accessibility features for students with different specific learning differences. Within the workshop, teachers who are well focused will gain valuable hands-on professional development that they will then be able to take back to their classrooms and schools.
