Abstract
The author discusses how cities, specifically technology centres located in urban areas, attract knowledge sector workers. Two projects are highlighted: a 100-acre technology park on the campus of the University of Waterloo, and the redevelopment of an abandoned airfield in East Hartford, Connecticut.
