The 1st segment (11 min.) shows some of the settlement at Paldi (in the Cowichan Valley), the saw mill, logging operations and rail construction in the Hill 60 area. The 2nd segment (9 min.) shows a later period of 1943 at McKay Lake, closer to Nanaimo.
