Sustainability Research Effectiveness

Permanent URI for this collection

The Sustainability Research Effectiveness Program, led by Canada Research Chair and Professor Brian Belcher, aims to contribute to improved and more effective research. New research approaches are being developed to effectively address complex societal problems. As such, there is a need to investigate new ways of assessing and strengthening the social effects of research by learning from projects that are solutions-oriented, engaged and cross-disciplinary. The exhibit presents information about the program, its methods and tools, projects and case studies, and other working partnerships. It highlights include the program’s work with Royal Roads graduate students to assess how master and doctoral research contributes to change as well as collaborations with CGIAR that evaluate global research-for-development projects focused on sustainability and development.
